Meet Azaria Bell: From Saving for Uni to Advising Australians on Insurance
Azaria Bell’s path to financial advising began with a personal challenge. As a non-citizen at the time, she had to save enough to pay her first year of university fees herself. That discipline – budgeting, tracking expenses, and even helping friends set up their own spreadsheets – sparked a lifelong passion for personal finance. After switching to a commerce degree majoring in financial planning and tax at Griffith University, she discovered her calling in helping Australians protect what matters most.
Today Azaria is a Financial Adviser at Skye Wealth, specialising in risk insurance. When she first joined, she wasn’t sure if focusing on insurance would limit her career. Instead, it opened doors. She learned how deep and complex insurance advice could be. From medical pre-assessments to tailoring cover for each client. And found that helping people at claim time was the most rewarding part of the job. Over four years, she’s seen Skye Wealth grow from a handful of staff to around fifty, all while maintaining a culture of honesty, teamwork and fun.
Away from work, Azaria has embraced a new passion: cycling. She laughs about her early slow-motion spills from her clipped-in pedals but relishes long rides on the bike paths near her home. This blend of discipline and humour reflects her approach as an adviser. Serious about the important details, but approachable and relatable to clients.
Azaria’s story shows that financial advice isn’t just about numbers. It’s about people, goals, and resilience. She knows first-hand how early planning and perseverance can change a life.
